A trip to KK brought alot of joy to DJ Pt.1
After 3 months at S.A.D.(wah..sound like some secret organization) at T.A.R.C, i needed more than R&R, i needed bloody therapy. And of course, on the brink of insanity, all the sudden...a voice shouted.."Don't you have a trip to Sabah?!"..RIGHT, brilliant! So come Monday...plenty of drama unfolded..long story cut short..due to the bloody swine flu, or more politically correct..the H1N1 virus..nearly cancelled my trip the following day..of course..this and due to my parent's concern+ paranoidness..But then again, I couldn't really blame them..why? Cause before that..I had an accident..
I know, i know, I already hear the "wtf? Again?" "Tsk tsk"..bla bla bla...My tire burst..car hit barrier like ping pong ball..but anyway..fastforward back to the trip..Yeah so on tuesday morning in my semi-groggy self..there I was, on board the taxi..flying down to LCCT. Among some of the things that were sorta crossing my mind was..Hmmm are they going to suit up in radioactive suits? Hmm thermal scanners? People getting scrubbed in containment units? People screaming in pain? People in tents and exploding in bloody blood bombs?..
Nope..non of those things happened, in fact everything was pretty calm. So calm, and not to mention quiet to the point where if i were to drop a needle, i would probably hear it..The only time where things weren't calm was when the bloody check-in counter dude misplaced my bloody identification card. Oi idiot! Next time I ask you to check, you double bloody check! Not one stupid apology at all. Freaking tranny...zzz..anyway after much time wasted (which could have been a much more relaxing breakfast time for me)..I really couldn't wait. And when the time came to check into the flight, all on my mind was just pure excitement all the way..
Ok, for the most of you..yes...I've been to places(I shall refrain from saying them)..but..Sabah isn't one of them. Aha..yeah..own country haven't visit finish, go other countries edi..-_-'
Anyways, after the 3 hour flight (filled up with by playing my NDSL..POKEMON!), I arrived..whoot..and after collecting the luggage..off i went out and i met....AMANDA!!!..wheeeeeee!! Yeah, she was waiting for me together with yit phing and janice and alan(amanda's brother). So off we went for lunch, so first thing we actually had was noodles, I know..ok..here's the difference between KL and Sabah..everything at Sabah was different! But i sorta forgotten what noodles that was...aha..and then after that it was a short stopover at amanda's place to drop off me luggage, and then..off to the hairdressers..or rather amanda's mum's shop to have a hair cut..which turned out awesome...
Anyways, on the second day, we hit the beach, and afterrrrr a superrrr longggg driveeeee offfff 20 minutes..yes..20 minutes we were already at the beach..and the beach was B-E-A-U-Tiful...And i am not exaggerating, I have been to redang, so the term crystal clear waters isn't alien to me..and that beach had crystal clear waters. So off snorkeling we went..lol..though I was super tired just after 2-3 hours of snorkeling. Had loads of fun at the beach though, it was nice. And not forgetting the food for the day..we had Beef ball noodles! And I know this may seem common in KL but in Sabah, everything here was and is different.
I mean, I used to say penang..or Ipoh had good food (forgive me genuine penangnites and ipohians..look i'll make it up to you with a joke..ipoh is now officially under apple and now will be called iPoh..you know..like iPod, iPhone, iMac, etc..XD..JOKING)..anyways, sabah has its own charm of food. Everything there tasted home cooked. If there was one thing I enjoyed, it would be the food..from the humble Ice Lemon Tea, to the..to the...gosh, so many good food..i can't even put which i the first..
And so ended our adventure on that day...and we had serious resting..becauseeee the next day, we headed up to Kinabalu Park..home of the highest mountain in S.E.A.(South East Asia), Mount Kinabalu...Had tuaran mee(not available at KL or anywhere else except Sabah) which was pretty awesome...Anyways...that's the end of part 1!

I wanna runaway
Sigh, I'm bored, when was the last
time you said that? In your lectures?
In the middle of something monotous?
For me? I'm saying it as soon as i get
out of bed n heading to work. Truth is
I hate my job. Some people say don't worry
its worthwhile as long as you learned somethinf..
Examples of what I learned:
1. The earliest check in date for the hostel
is on 13th May 2009
2.Paper shredders can and will overheat
3.Counting bus tickets is a bitch
Some of the more or less useless facts that will not bear any significance once i leave..contend & argue all you want. Compare workplaces if you want but i'm telling you nothing PRish about counting bus tickets.
Not that everything is a hell hole there.there are nice people who have warmed up to us..though the only perk is that Amanda is nearby..
Somewhere deep inside, i wished i pushed harder..pushed hard enough to achieve what I wanted, just put in that extra mile...I regret that, and I have learned my lesson. And this will serve as an important lesson, a landmark in my journey to Liverpool..

Workstation
This is my workstation:

Yes..I know..One can ask..how many whites can you put on a gadget
? I'd say many and at times they come out rather nicely..But wait...hold on..what's this?
.jpg)
This dear friends...is..

My freakinly, supercalifragilistically, shockingly, awesomemest handphone...This..my dear friends is the phone i was waiting for..Forget that telco carrier who is offering the most overpriced phone in the world...The HTC Touch 2nd Gen is what I want. Haha..And every bit of this phone just oozes with class. XD

So after today's shakedown..Btw..I got the phone yesterday haha...today was the first time i had a full day with it. And what can I say..a phone with Wifi roxxors..and what more a PDA phone...I love everything about this phone and I don't think I have much to complain, if anything at all..it will be my own fault cause of my noobness..This ain't your run of the mill mobile phone..This is a PDA..with phone functions...muahahaha...
From the moment I set eyes on the HTC Touch (Do this Gaston Style), I loved the white version, however due to timing..Whereby the classic situation of..When you got the money to change phone, your current phone doesn't break down, but when you don't have the money to change
phones, the current phone decides to break down on you. I'd admit that the Motorola E680
served me well..

It took alot of abuses, namely dropping it..I still remember..the 2nd day of using the phone I dropped it at a KDU toilet...Was helping as a actor (a very poor one) in Chwi Lynn's film..haihz..And no doubt it stood up against the test of time..At it's prime, it had all the features
that everyone wanted..Bluetooth? Check. Mp3 Player? Check. Surround sound somemore. Camera? Check. Although just a 0.3 mp one la but good enough. GPRS? Check. Mind you, that time 3g Was non-existent. But guess what, against the test of time, it took 4 years before the phone I decided was already outdated and was in need of a change.
So what was a worthy predecessor? Now I know at one point of time i raved on and on about the Apple's iPhone..But after much studying and deciding that it's an overpriced touch screen rock. I
needed something much more practical..something much..sexier..something bold...And the guys at HTC manage to come up with the HTC Touch.

I'm hooked...I loved it...and so began a long way of dreaming and hoping that one day eventually I will come to own this phone..And that day came yesterday. I'm so happy that I have this phone, and what happened to the motorola E680 you may ask? The motorola was sacrificed (traded in la), but it was done with a heavy heart and it was one last service it did before I said goodbye to it..
But as the saying goes, how can the new come if the old don't go right? Anyways bottom line, I love my new phone. Period. XD
Now can you say it with me? H.T.C. haha..btw, what makes this phone futher rocking is that it has a partner too...Can anyone ask Amanda what phone is she using? :P

Cheers and have a nice day

Halfway there
Ok, so I'm halfway through the internship at S.A.D..ya you read that right. Btw, it's not called that without reason, the full name would be Student Affairs Department..comprende? So ironic..so yeah when there was a chance to get out of office to escape either:
a) Counting bus tickets
b) Folding brochures
The answer was a definite yes..but then again I wasn't exactly given a choice. Lol, we were assigned to be Campus Tour Guides for the entire duration of Open Day, which really..should be renamed Open Month..because that was how long Open Day really was. Btw..I'm working at College. Meh, find out more from this blog la if you really wanna know which college I'm from. Anyways, you might think that Open Day would be just be just that Open..
Apperantly not..being the lowest rank in the chain of order..the Interns...*plays dramatic music* We are naturally caught doing the worse of jobs such as..
a) Counting bus tickets
b) Folding brochures
And yeah, so therefore, according to the unwritten rules and regulations of the Working World. Interns are allowed to be abused..Why I say abused...cause we have been working the entire month of March. Quote "No lar...sure Sunday get to rest wan ma..." No my dear friends, for we, worked our ass..or rather voices to the bone from Monday through Sunday with no breaks in between. So yeah basically we've been marathon working for nearly 30 days now. Meh..actually another 5 1/2 days then we'll get our first official weekend break since..gosh..I do not know...But throughout the month I've been inspired and also been learning alot from observation and just daydreaming.
Among some of the things that I've learned...:
1. Sundays are precious and are meant to be spent with loved ones...wait scratch that, the Weekends are precious and are meant to be spent with loved ones. I now understand why God made Sundays sacred and it was meant to be for us mere mortals to rest. Surprising what one day of just rest can do wonders to the body. Seriously...I'll never complain ever anymore about having nothing to do on a weekend. Never.
2. Some people can be assholes...they are just a bunch of arrogant prunes who probably didn't paid too much attention on what goes on in the World outside. Just because your mother (daughter was 30 y.o woman, mom was a ripe 60 who seemed pretty happy) didn't understand english, doesn't meant that you had to speak in such a tone that:
A. Makes you look smart and noble. Cause really, no, it doesn't. Makes you look more like an asshole than before.
B. Makes me wanting to beat the living crap out of you.
C. Sounds like you or your daughter (who happened 3-4 years old) is signing up when really, it is your 18 year old niece who is signing up.
Fine..call me arrogant because I cannot speak chinese and being ignorant because I do not know the language. Fact: I've tried in every way to learn...other than the few vulgaraties that I know and when and how to use them in order to come up with the most colourful insults, I'm a total goof at using chinese. I set a new standard in half past six..Mine's a never past 6. Meh..well, what can you do but flash a smile and shrug right?
3. Learned how to handle some of the tough questions that parents ask. No longer it is as simple as "How long are the courses", "How much is it?", "Got oversea studies wan ar?". Among some of the questions that were asked that I received "Eh your english so good, how did you manage to survive here ar?" and "How's the security level here like?" Haha, I'll leave it to you all on how you wanna answer that la. You kena fikir baik baik.
So far, I've been enjoying my internship, and among some of the few sweetest moments that I have were:
1. Checking my results in the office, and I'm pretty happy with myself. Passed everything, thank God. Manage to go through Statistics (no easy task I assure you) and get a decent grade, considering how many times I drifted off in lectures and tutorials.
2. Knowing that in some small way I'm helping parents or students with the questions they ask. Today in particular, there was a parent that seemed re-assured and looked relived to finally be NOT given the runaround after having her question answered. Puts a smile to my face = )
I'm happy for now, working, and just enjoying the moment. At the same time, I'm missing studies as well. Meh, got loads of that to do....I've still got 4 resit papers. I'm looking forward to it though, I want to be ready for the exams and go in fighting. And then I wanna take myself seriously and go into 2nd year with no fails. Why?
I wanna go to the UK. I mean, hey it's easy saying it. But I mean it. I'm excited about the prospect, but the only way I can do it, is very simple..Work Hard. I mean, I admit, I'm not the brightest bulb out there, but hell, I wanna be the one that works and tries the hardest to be. So yeah, I'm nearly into the halfway point of my life. During the start of the year, I've asked myself what am I gonna do and how am I going to go about year 2009.
Well, it has fell in my lap, and I know what I want. I only have One Aim, One Target, One goal, DJ2Uk, 2010.
Though more politically correct, Liverpool. Haha...anyways, gonna end this super uber long post here...
Cheers!

3 Days
Well, I've had alot of fun for the last 3 days = ) well plus 1 night also la. Haha, ok so let's begin with Sunday night. Amanda came over to PJ and we headed to William's for dinner, awesome dinner that we had. I had my usual Nasi Pattaya Pepperoni and I ordered the Chicken Kiev for her. What is the Chicken Kiev? The chicken kiev is one half of the chicken, with the breast meat cut or rather carved into a pocket and stuffed with mozzeralla cheese, butter and ham. Topped with mushroom sauce and accompanied by mashed potatos. Sounds good? Haha it is. Seriously! It's so good, that it was food orgasm.
My usual Nasi Pattaya Pepperoni was awesome as usual, it's basically fried rice, with pieces of beef thrown in, and of course pepperoni and topped with the egg omellete. Pictures of it next time, and of course, we had William's trademark Ribenna Longan. Well, it's not really Ribenna anymore, more like Blackcurrent syrup cause the colour was so off by a few shades of purple. Somewhat like a bully-introduced-punch purple versus out-of-oxygen-lips-purple. Anyway,
food was great, also gonna start taking down and writing out what's good in William's so next time I get to try the different things. XD.
Seeing that it was a public holiday the next day, we(amanda and me) took advantage and decided to go on a day trip to genting's and after eating breakfast at coffeebean. We decided to hit the kiddie casino. Ok..the indoor theme park, but there is a reason why I call it the kiddie casino. I mean, every machine, the ones that let you win tokens, are somewhat a gamble, you
can play the retarded basketball machine(not all are retarded), and win a grand total of 3 tokens OR you could join the water squirting game and win i dunno..say, 50-80 tokens? maybe more?

Hee, well judging from the picture, safe to say all our efforts weren't in vain, from aiming for the big prize to waiting for this bunch of kids who had god knows how many siblings and unlimited greed to go for the win. I mean, we had this two brothers and a very "encouraging" dad.

The two brothers were quite enterprising each of them taking turns to go reload their bloody credits. Of course, then we halfway going on with the flow, I thought maybe we should let other people have a chance at playing as well, so we let this little girl go play on..which turned out to be a big mistake, cause half of her village decided that they too, wanna play =.='

Well, after much trying and aiming and waiting...We got our prizes! We got Screwed! Well not really, we did get a screwdriver, 2 wiesels and our grand prize......*drum roll*

A very cute octopus for my sweetie = ) It may have took some time and money but it's worthwhile, nothing like winning that prize for your girlfriend at a funfair well not exactly a funfair but you get what I mean eh? = ) All in all, after that was done, we just did abit more jalan-jalaning before heading down.
The next day we watched Pink Panther 2 at 1 Utama, and tried a new restaurant called New Yokr New York Deli, while dessert was good..the fried mushrooms was a dissapointment..one was too chewy..and the other was so bloody crunchy not that it was a bad thing but the freaking thing was hard. Think of it as crunchy delicious cement. =.=
Anyways, while eating there halfway, I received an interesting call..
I'M GONNA BE ON TV..OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.
Haha, well I got a call from NTV 7 saying they want me on the Breakfast Show, together with Kingston to do a segment and talk about friendship. Everybody go awwww...Well yeah, Gadiy proposed our names into it, so if there's anyone to thank it would be him. Thanks dude...So anyway, after a relatively good night's sleep. I had dinner with the bosses at Image Cubes and
drinking beer was in order..haha I was quite exhausted by then. But nonetheless pretty excited about appearing on tv.
So i woke up, picked up Amanda and headed to the Sri Pentas studio. While we were there we took a few photos,

Well, that's me with makeup being applied, apparently our views of friendship were gonna be compare to Dr Edward's point of view of friendship. Dr Edward is a psychologist, so he was giving his perspective. Aha, here's the link of what kingsy and me, for the first time appear on television talkshow.
All in all, it was a great experience being in front of the camera..but I was totally unprepared...I mean,
when they meant live..I didn't really expected live live...I thought there was a slight delay to avoid you
know, wardrobe malfunction..But no, the moment Kingston, Dr Edward and me was ushered into the
green room, together with host. It was show time. I mean it was like this:
Hosts: Hi all of you, how are you?
Us: Yeah we're good -after usual introductions-
Director: Okay, you're on in 2 minutes DJ: Wha..? Wtf?!
Director: Okay, you're on now
DJ: EH? WTF?! We on live now?! SHITTTT
Yeah, I panicked for a short minute there, but thought hell..better dun la..making a fool out of myself
in television now isn't exactly an option, so yeah having a comfortable chair together with a familiar
face was quite helpful. But yeah everything went on well. = ) I had fun, and then after that headed to
1 utama to have breakfast, before catching a morning show. All's Well End's Well 2009, was pretty
funny. Though I really wanted the day to move on slowly..Why you may ask? cause tomorrow, Amanda's
leaving for Sabah..sobz...Sweetie, I've fun for the last few days, and I really enjoyed myself..I love you alot
*does ballerina spin* (Ed:Watch the All's Well End's Well movie and you'll know what I mean)
So thats all for now, till next time guys and girls, have a nice day = )

Update
hey hey, well here I am bored...Haha, what a way to start a blog entry..Just by saying bored. But is it so wrong? I am bored..
What can I do to entertain myself? I'm not too sure myself..just walked away from the annual gambling spree at my cousin's place RM100 poorer..sobs...oh well, I can kiss goodbye that laptop cooler pad that I wanted so much. Oh btw!
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!!
Haha, I was so engrossed with myself that I forgot, sorry! Anyways, exams has almost come and gone, there's still one more dreaded paper to go for. Cyberlaw, with any luck I hope I passed everything and yeah..Just go on with life with some normalcy. 2009 will be a somewhat I think a year with full of twist and turns unlike last year which pretty much started and ended subtly which I was ok with. 2009 however..will be challenging.
Swt..(Editor: Wtf you talking about la?! You talking as if new year started again zzzz) Ok ok, so sorry, just that I am really bored right now..But things shouldn't be so bad once sweetie comes back..missing her badly at the moment. Sigh, everything has been moving so slowly that it's nearly sickening..urghhh but then again, the break will do me some good. Gives me some chance to think.
yeah, sometimes one has to think and to get inspired and motivated as well. So yeah a slow down in general is good, allows you to see things in perspective at times. What? Don't believe me? Ever watched The Matrix? You know the parts when Neo gets to avoid bullets? Yeah he's actually slowing down things to move faster. Duh! LoL in a way, sometimes I miss having those moments of calmness. In the moment of chaos, I like to slowdown and really see things in perspective. Sometimes the solution is there, but because we are moving so fast through life that we fail to see it.
Anyways, I think I'm repeating myself again and again. I'm just empty ranting at the moment. This post is just rolling on itself with things on the top of my mind. Bah, I'll just end things right now..I'm bored.... =.='
Gong Xi Fa Cai everyone!
